For PMR , ideally we should visit to neurologist as well as the orthopedic doctor for correct findings.

Basically, for the PMR patient the blood test report will show high values for below components

• ESR
• Creatine Phosphokinase(CPK)
• C Reactive Protein (CRP)

and also there might be other values which should be considered based on the patient history.Sometimes, when the patient has low immunity  or low platelet count or blood circulation issues then those values should also be considered during the treatment. To rule out the neurological issue with PMR patient has to go for brain MRI with contrast or without contrast based on the severity.

Also certain set of regular exercises which can help the patient to do their regular work along with the set of medicines suggested by doctor.

Polymyalgia rheumatica or PMR, is a relatively common condition that causes stiffness and pain in muscles. The word ‘poly’ means many and the word ‘myalgia’ means muscle pain.

Generally, when we read the term rheumatica we consider it as rheumatism but sometimes all rheumatoid related medical tests reports are negative still the patient is suffering from PMR.

Basically it's very tricky to find out whether the patient is suffering from PMR.Polymyalgia rheumatica can cause pain and stiffness in the shoulders,hands, neck, hips ,thighs , lower legs and back.

Ideally it should be start after age 50 or 70 but for few patient it used to start so early, specially those who have blood circulation issues.
